I just got an older computer (Just the tower) And I'm wondering how, or what I need in order to use both WITHOUT networking them, because I want to have a seperate OS on it, and be able to just switch to it on the fly. I understand that I can't transfer info between the 2 that way, but thats not what I want anyway. Just to use two seperate computers with my 1 monitor,mouse & keyboard.
So how do I do this?

Just get a KVM switch. (Keyboard, Video, Mouse) Startech makes them as do a bunch of other Manufacturers. All good, just depends on how much you want to pay. <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">
linksys just came out with a new line of kvm switches that are compact in size and price, has support for a wider variety of mice and supports 1024x768 resolution.
Everyone is correct on the KVM switch,one point though....Spend the couple of extra dollars on a good one as with the cheaper models you will suffer video signal loss that will leave you with poor picture quality,blurry and sometimes loss of color...

Belkin makes kickass Digital KVM switches, you can even add a text label to the channel to say what the channel is, we use them at work in our burnin station, ( we have the bigass 16 port ones)
but im sure a 4 port would do you nicely...
I use Avocent (formerly Cybex) KVM switches and can only find good thinbgs to say about them.
Look them up for various models and options.
