Share Sniffer or Similar
I'm looking for a program that will allow me to seek out unauthorized shares on our company network. We've been having a big problem with users creating unauthorized shares, downloading MP3s, etc. and need a prog that will allow us to search LAN from a central location rather than go to each workstation (LAN is 100+ users). Is there any such beast? And if so are there any that are not costly or FREE, as funds are an issue.
Thanks in advance for any help.

This is what you are looking for, but unfortunately it's not free...
If you can think of an Admin task to do, this baby can do it! It's worth the cost!

Ok, I may be a little off here but could you accomplish this using the net view command?? or no? I'm not sure but its my 2 cents

Yes, you can. Net view will dispaly the list of shares for a \workgoup\computer.

You all are correct, but was lQQking for something a little more detailed...and found it. I had used it previously but has just forgotten the name and URL - (www.LANguard.com)
Thanks for the "virtual smack" !

LanGuard is definitely the way to go for taking a quick and somewhat thorough look at your internal network for free.
