[RESOLVED] DUN Win98 to server setup, connects but can't share files.
Hi, I'm running a Windows 2000 Advanced Server in the office and have Active Directory setup. I am connecting a computer from home (to backup date) to the server through dial-up networking. On the server I have setup routing and remote access, and setup the user name and password for the dialup computer, and allowed dialup permissions. And on the dialup computer I setup the DUN to connect to the server. The system dials and connects to the server and logs on to the network, but the problem is the <dialup> computer doesn't show up on the work network and the server doesn't show up on the dialup computer, so I can't transfer files. I can ping the server by IP address, and it works, but I can't seem to share any files from the server with the dialup computer. I'm sharing the files on an NTFS partition on the server, with dialin user permissions setup. I have tried to work with VPN, but everytime i dial to the server and try to use VPN it gives me an error message saying Dial Up networking is in use... Anyone have experience with this? Would appreciate the help a lot, Thanks
Arthur
