My Ipod is less than 3 weeks old, and now theres a 10gb Ipod out. At least My 5gb one hasn't lost its value yet. But I would have bought the 10gb one....its only 200 more.

That is the game we play, catch up, with computer technology. Right before you buy the new one and newer one is coming out and the newest is almost out. Willy Paycheck
sorry...correction. its 100 more, plus now has a software equalizer with 20 presets. Im gonna sell my ipod on ebay for hopefully 340ish, then buy a new one for 500. :D ITs worth it!
I remember hearing about someone replacing the hard drive in the Ipod...why don't you look into doing that? It might be cheaper and you can throw a huge drive into it.

well I would think any 2.5 drive will work.
Id try taking it out hook it to a laptop use norton ghost, ghost it to another system or cdrom then ghost it back to a new hdd
it has connections unique to only the toshiba drives. The HD replacements were only with the toshiba 10gb which came out about a month after the ipod first released...but thats whats in the new ipod anyways.
