I'm always good at these!
I'm not afraid to say words, some guys don't have the guts to.
I can't remember the exact lines right now, but I'm always trying to say something original. ;)
My girlfriends birth day, rented a nice hotel room with a whirlpool. Had her friends take her out (I was 'out of town on buisness') Then supprise supprise when they droped her off at my room, her favoret wine, etc etc etc....
I send Jennie poetry once a day, usually Keats, Byron, Shelley and the Sonnets by Shakespeare. She fell in love with 'Shall I compare thee'. I like to take her to the theatre at least once every month, and always to see something romantic. Theatre is so much more articulate than film. Tell her you love her every day, and show her the affection, kindness and tenderness any girlfriend deserves. In my opinion, you can't get more romantic than that!
I'm not really romantic, but it has nothing to do with being a computer freak...it's all in being a jerk.
I have two from this year that are pretty good, but they are kind of long.
I am in a long distance relationship, so I don't get to see my gf very much.
She was back in our home town, and about to ship out for basic training. We had been talking every night at about the same time. I told her that I was working late on Friday and wouldn't be able to call until 10. I bought a plane ticket for Friday and flew home. I had my father pick me up at the airport and drive me home. I dropped him off, picked up a dozen roses and drove to her house. I parked my car down the street and walked to her house. I stood in her driveway by the side of her house and called her from my cell phone. I asked her what she was doing and told her to go out to her front porch. She asked me why and I told her that even though we were seperated by distance the stars were the same, and I wanted to look at the same night sky. She did as she was told and told me she was out on the porch. I told her to choose a star, close her eyes and make a wish. When she did that I walked around the house and when she opened her eyes I was standing there with a dozen roses.
The one I did for Christmas is better;
I saw her for three days between the start of basic and Christmas(which was about four months). I used this time to make good plans. I called and made reservations at a nice restaurant in Ohio. I reserved a limo for the 23rd of December and rented a tux for the same night. I bought my gf a dress, shoes, a purse, underthings etc, and to top it off 1/2 ct. diamond earrings. I scheduled a hair appoitment for her at 10:00 in the morning and ordered some flowers from the flower shop. A flower was delivered to her at 9:00 with a note that said "You have a complimentary appt. at (hair place). Your chairot will arrive at 5:00)." At 4:30 my limo arrived and picked me up. I took my stack of gifts(which were about three feet high), the other 11 roses to complete the dozen, my champaigne bucket with our names and Christmas 2000 inscribed, a set of crystal glasses, and champaigne. I got to her house and saw her for the first time in months, and I was standing there in my tuxedo, with one armfull of gifts and another armfull of roses. She started crying. I had her open all the clothes first and put those on. When she was completely ready I reached into my jacket pocket and pulled out the jewelry and placed them in her hand. She cried. We hopped in the limo and headed for dinner. We drank champaigne and enjoyed our time in the limo. Our dinner was excellent and while we ate our limo driver got us strawberries and whip cream for the ride home, he also sent a rose to the table during dinner(the man was a god). We spent the rest of the evening riding in a limo and looking at Christmas lights. It was one of the best nights of my life.
Wow, I should be so lucky. That's really sweet Weich. I must say, I've never gotten anything like that. Now I'm jealous. You've ruined my Monday. *sigh*
I used exactly the same excuse whilst I was planning a marriage proposal, except I rented a car and drove. When I got to her house I used my cell phone to call her and lure her outside!Quote:

Yes I think we all can if we put our minds to it. It's the little things that really matter, try this one. My girlfriend always take a long time getting ready for bed, so one night it was cold so I rolled over on to her side of the bed. She came in ten min's latter and asked me what I was doing on her side of the bed. I said I was just keeping it warm. You would have thought I gave her 10 thousand roses or somthing by her reaction. It was a small thing, but made her happy.
I know what you mean. I'm a romantic...but i also have strange urges to make smartass remarks all the time *shrug* i try to stop it, but it happens anywayQuote:

Thanks Kymera, compliments are always nice.
Maybe it's just me, but I have never found a girl with the ability to romance me. Sure they like romantic stuff, and they know it when they see it, but they can't come up with it. Alas, I know the romantic girls are out there, but where, where?
Being romantic is easy. You listen to what your woman talks about, every teeny, tiny, thing, and then three months later you pull out one of those little details and make plans around it.
My girlfriend loves candles, So I went out and bought about a dozen candles...various sizes, shapes, but just one scent, Her favorite, Mulberry. I didn't make a cheesy candle trail to the room or anything like that. I just put them around the house all over so that we can enjoy candle lighting in anyroom of the house. I buy her roses now and then, I put them in her car(just one in case it dies of heat or something), on her side of the bed, In her mailbox, in the fridge, in the freezer. Just scatter them around.
Then you do a couple little things a day. Some ideas would be, Do the dishes, laundry, make the bed, clean the bathroom, clean her car, fill her car with gas, if you go somewhere YOU drive, brush her hair, take a shower with her, BODY rub(Back, neck, feet, hand, wherever your comfortable with)
A techie thing I did, that she liked was to create a program that started up with the computer(just once) to tell her how much I cared for her. I do this once in a few months.
I'll post more if you want, but I should stop.
I hate romance. I'm such a cynic.
I'd rather have a good guy friend who I can be a total *** with, then go home and sleep with :)

Isn't that like every guy?! Anyway, there's nothing like being fawned over, I need more of that in my life.
