Did she get you the optical? (They're all really great!)
Thats what I got for Christmas, with my setup I got the optical mouse. Besides the new batteries every month for my mouse, I love them both.
Got the optical mouse and it's kewl!! Now the Mrs. is thinking about getting a combo herself! :)

Every month?? Jeeezzz I only replace mine every 3 months... guess you are at the computer even more than I am!!

Do you have the optical? I also have the cordless regular, and it goes through a pair of AAAs everty 4-6 months. I guess the optical uses a lot more due to the laser. I think I might just get a 4 pack of rechargables and a charger, that way I can just swap them when needed.

Oh yeah, I've started swapping everything over to NiMH and the extra cost is worth it. My MP3 player, digital camera, Palm, even my remotes are all rechargeable. I don't plan on buying another battery for years.
