Bad announcers and too much of an attempt on flash, can't help thinking that was a problem.
The TV scheduling was horrible too. Football is something that is best left for Sundays with the occasional Saturday and lets not forget Monday night. Who was willing to stay home on a Saturday to watch a new football league with a bunch of no names anyhow?
I knew that XFL would go nowhere.
It was all just a bunch of Hooters girls and wrestling hicks in football uniforms.
The only time I ever saw XFL was if it happened to be what was on at Hooters or a bar I was at on a Saturday night.
Can't say I'm sad to see it go.
But I'm sure having over half of the XFL's roster signed by the NFL didn't help Vince's situation any.

Yeah, Vince took the heart of the sport and twisted it. I thought I would love it because I am a huge football fan, but it was un-bearable. Now I know why the NFL didn't even seem to notice them. :D :D :D :D

Yeah, but you've got to give Vince credit for trying. The thing is, his usual formula of taking something mundane, adding lots of flash and garnish didn't work with the XFL, since football already IS popular, and it just came off as being too over the top.Quote:

I never actually got to see a game being in the UK, but from what I did see from clips on Raw, etc, it looked pretty damn good to me.
Ohh, I'll give ya that one bro. He gave it a good shot - and I thought I would love it. But you're right, it was too over the top. Just a little too much. Maybe if they didn't have camera men in the huddle, and the sideline interviews it would have been different. But it was too much. He should have went a little more gradual in approach I think. No fair catches = cool. Whatever you feel like on the back of your jersy = too much.Quote:
