Heres the deal......I was closing the trunk of the car when a guy i work with got in the car and sat on a 20.00 dollar pair of sun glasses (2 days old) and broke them. He seems to think he shouldent have to pay for them. I think he should, if you break somthing of some ones you replace it.....i no i no we sound like a couple of little kids but, 20 bucks is 20 bucks!.....so please vote YES if he should pay for them.....or NO, it was my fault for leaving them on the seat.....thx for your vote :D :D

well,it's a matter of personal integrity, and I personally would replace them if I broke them. But thats me.especially only $20,it's not worth losing a friend or alienating a co-worker for only $20.
but I do think replacing them for you is the right thing to do,
and if he still does'nt want to replace them for you, then, thats his problem and that makes him the "little man". :)

born, you can't force him to pay for them if he does not want to.. It's $20, so i'd let it slide.. now if it where my shades, well they are $100 and a special order item (clip-ons) and in that case, i'd ask the person to pay some and i'd pay some if i'm in anyway partialy responsible, if i had nothing to do with it, then he should pay the full bill. In your case, has crazyman said, don't make a big scene for something worth $20.. now, SHOULD he pay? i think so.
-
Yes, he should pay but $20 isn't worth making a scene over if the guy's going to be a jerk about it....
-
i think he should pay for them, but i don't know if the guy has finance problems. maybe you guys guys should split the bill, but as posted above i wouldn't make a big thing out of it.
-
If I had done it I would have offered to pay for them but if I were in your situtation I wouldn't make him pay for them seeing how I left them on the seat. If your gonna leave em in the car hang em from the rear view mirror.

First rule about glasses of any kind - never leave them anywhere where somebody might sit or step on them. Worst case, you destroy your own glasses!
-
he should pay it, 20 bucks insnt alot of money so it should be easy for him to pay. if he doesnt pay beat the crap out of him and post pics of him. if you buy me a plane ticket i'll even help you
:D

He should pay for them, but honestly, I think you'll be out $20.
:(
Sorry to hear that.
-
He should have been paying more attention before he sat down.
However, I don't think he should be responsible. IMHO you should not have left them in the seat.
If it had been me, I would have offered to pay for them while expecting you to say "not to worry about it".
Everyone is correct though, $20 is not worth arguing over. Just ask him buy lunch the next couple of times.

First off, $20 ain't squat. He sat on them, he should pay for them. You were nice enough to give him a ride!
Everyone is telling you here not to make a big deal about this; Bump that.
If he won't pay for the glasses, go back and tell him that he owes you for every ride you have ever given him. Inflate that cost to equal at least $40 or more, and tell him that he owes you for that as well as the glasses. Then, if he still refuses to pay, you ask him for a ride, and bust off a cup holder, or door handle or something. He doesn’t sound like much of a friend, so I say have all kinds of fun with him!!!
