We have a guy here who has been with us for a year now and is moving to Denver next week and we would like to play a few good tricks on him before he leaves. Just want to sharpen his trouble shooting skills a little.
And maybe even get a few good laughs.
Go into MSCONFIG>Advanced>Set Max Memory to 16MB. This will be a tough one to figure out unless he a smart tech.
Enable "Active Desktop" Then go into settings for Active desktop, and set to "Hide Icons".
I like both of those....gonna do that next time I go to my other job... :D
Also these have to work on NT 4.0

if he has a microsoft mouse with the software installed you can realign it so that if he moves it side to side it goes up and down and vice versa. This is really funny to see.
Also if youhave the time get either a wireless or a keyboard with a long cord and plug it into his comp. Then plug his into another comp so the lights still light up. Now you can control his screen from a far. While he seems to have control. This ones great especially if you have a keyboard with those multimedia keys.
Press "Print Screen" button with his desktop and Icons showing. Open "Paint", Edit>Paste.
Save the picture. Set the active desktop to hide his icons. Apply the picture as his background.

could always remap the keyboard. the deskptop screen capture as wallpaper is an oldie but goodie.
Change the definition of all his shortcuts, so when he double clicks on a frequently used icon, like MSWord, it does something totally different, like go to an embarassing website, or startup Solitaire.
a twist on that is to flip the bitmap first so its upside down. :DQuote:

sorry forgot ........try a croation keyboard...ps dont forget to swop his left and right buttons on his mouse ......and slow it down a bit
Prise a couple of keys out of the keyboard and swap them over - try something like the N and M keys as this can really confuse people!
I'd just be sure to keep a list of everything you do - if this guy doesn't fix it before he leaves, guess who it will come down to :D :D
