I few days ago I downloaded a program that would allow you to take control of peoples computer. It was not a virus or a trojen, you could only do small things like move the cursor to corner, play sounds or open the CD Tray. Anyway, I lost the file and can't remember the name of the program. Anyone know of a similar program or know of a program that will do something similar. I want to play a prank on a co worker.
Pc Anywhere, PC Duo are the only two I can think off. I do have a program which allows you to write your own error messages and set a timer for them to go off.
Elbatcho, that has SOOOOO much potential! Pleeeeeease tell me where to find it? I swear I will use it (along with all of my other powers) only for good. (Must... keep... straight... face...)
LOL Elbatcho, I could use that before this one guy at work comes back next week! I'd love to give him an error that has no explanation :)

To actually take control of a computer you could use Back Orifice. Supposedly that'll let you access people's computers without their knowledge.Quote:

There are plenty of joke programs out there that'll open and close CD trays, make bodily noises at specified times, make the mouse go crazy, etc. This isn't "taking control" of a computer though.
I've got a folder full of pranks here in my My Documents folder. I've got one that tells you a message that your C:\ drive is being formatted, and a whole bunch of other ones......I think I got from the website in a previous post. The trick is you gotta change the icon and the file name and email it to someone. It's pretty funny.
I just downloaded slipery mouse. It's neat the mouse just feels like the whole desktop is made of ice and you can't control the mouse.
Sounds like Netbus to me. In my experience you need to have physical access to the remote system in order to start up PCAnywhere, but the client half of Netbus can be loaded in the background when Windows starts (you still have to get the person to unwittingly install it somehow). I have used both of them for legitimate purposes (my ex-boyfriend and I used them to access our own computers from each other's rooms) but I know a lot of people use Netbus to be naughty ;)
For new users I prefer Net Send. It confuses the he[[ out of 'em and they never see it coming. The only prob is that I am the only tech support for my dept and they usually end up calling me. I cannot keep a straight face to save my life.
I used to have this fabulous little program for win 95 & 3.11 ...
It would make the icons run away from the mouse, making it impossible to double click them :)
Had another one that would move icons, and windows, just one pixel at a time... very slowly... drove people nuts... sorta like going into someones house, and just moving thier furniture ever so slightly :)
A quick prank which you should be able to do without any programs is to take a snapshot of the desktop with the my computer window open and resize it to desktop size, then set it as wallpaper and watch them try to close the window. :D :p :D :p ;)
