Motherboard makes Windows crash?
Here's my problem.
I've got a certain motherboard that whenever I try to use it makes all the programs I try to open in Windows98 crash. Every time I click on an executable file I get that stupid message: This program has performed an illegal operation and will be terminated blah, blah, blah. I know it has to do with the motherboard because if I take the same HD (Western Digital 8.4 GB) and put it into my other computer which is a QDI Explorer 1 with 64 MB EDO RAM, Pentium MMX 200 @ 213 (don't ask). It works fine. So my question is, any ideas on why the other motherboard does this? I don't know who makes it. There's no FCC ID # (Is that legal?) and when I try to identify it by the BIOS it tells me that's it's made by an unknown company. *sigh* Anyway, any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot. »Derrick
