I am using Nero 5.0.4.4 and a Creative Labs RW8438E drive. I can burn on a 74 min, 650 disk, but when I use a 80 min disk, Nero doesn't see it. I have tried enabling overburning, but no go. I know the disks are ok as my Mitsumi drive burns them. Any similar problems or answers?

I had a similar problem with my CD-R. I updated the firmware and that seems to fix my problem, but your drive seems a little newer than mine.
I personally don't find 80min CD's that beneficial. They're very hit-or-miss in my CD players. My CD-ROM is the only thing that can read them consistently.
I had the same problem when trying to use PNY cd's. Never cared that much to try to fix the problem with my CD-R not seeing them. The extra 5 minutes isn't really that big of a deal.
