Win XP and Nvidia 28.32

I just installed the new Nvidia 28.32 drivers, I haven't rebooted yet because I'm unsure if I am going to have problems. The last time I installed drivers I had major problems and ended up reinstalling XP. That time I couldn't even enter an administrator password because I don't even remember setting one. Is there a way to set one now so I don't have this problem again? Has anyone else had problems with the new drivers?

I just installed the Nvidia drivers on my XP Pro system. No probs. I have a Geforce 3 TI 200 on a Asus A7V133C, Athlon 1.2G, 512mb ram

Login as adminstrator and then go to control panel, user accounts and click change password, you will then be able to change the admin password to your choosing - please note the caps lock!

How do I log in as an administrator on WinXP Home edition?

ctrl + alt + del twice at welcome screen. type administrator and no password when u get in.
If you did create a password then you will have to reset the account password if you have forgot it. use an alternate admin account for that, you should always have two XP is set up that way. I have put drivers in just and it went fine, they are not signed so you will get a warning.

I just installed em on XP Pro without a problem. I have a Geforce 3 TI 200.

I can actually say that I did install the nvidia drivers on the same configuration as yours... and it went great.. no problems...

My new system is totally XP proof: XP gives me two fingers no matter what. It doesn't matter what NVidia reference Drivers I use, nor the manufacturers specific ones... The same thing happens. Its not even stable in Safe Mode. I discovered via a PC mag that there are known issues with AMD CPU/760 chipset/NVidia GPU combinations but up until coming across this thread didn't realise the problem was bigger than that.
I suppose it doesn't help that ACPI has to deal with so many devices in my system: The Dual channel SCSI, and EIDE chains in use, as well as most of the slots filled... That and the 760 north bridge. And 1700XP. And Geforce 2 Ti card....

Got an Elsa GF3 and trust me dont use the "updated" drivers off the windows update site. The detonnators work A1

i have xp pro and i installed the detonator driver for my nvidia tnt2 32meg card and i got a message saying warning there could be a compatibility issue and asked me if i want to resume anyway so i resumed anyway and so far everything is working ok

If you use an account that has administrative privileges, you can reset the Administrator account without knowing the password.

Right click My Computer, goto manage, and then under Computer Management\System Tools\Local users and groups\Users you will find the administrator account. Right click the account, then select Set password. Resetting passwords like this will be a problem if you use Encrypted File System, but most people don't, or don’t with the administrator, so I don't think it will be a problem for you to do this.

As far as the video drivers, I don't know anything about them.

I just installed the drivers the other day. I did notice a slight speed increase with my Starfighter game.

On my main machine ( which has a G4) 28.32 drivers run great. on my G3 machines I try and stick to 23.11, they seem to be more stable with those.
