I just got invited to an awards dinner though work.

Its at a local concert hall, and Jethro Tull and Suzanne Vega are performing....

I wonder if I won something? :D

That would be pretty cool, esp after all your complaining about the company and your job. Put it all in perspective.

And if not, well, it still puts it all in perspective, but in a different way.

Eh, if I win something still won't change my opinion about my job, but I am glad that they do go out of their way to reconize good employees. I can't complain about that, several of my co-workers, past and present, have won awards in the past.

Yes, the job sucks. The pay is sub-par compared to what they're paying now. The company will most likely be non-existant in 8 months. Promotions are nonexistent.

But, at least the company does reconize good employees...
