The computer store I work for is opening a new branch and I will be running it. I was just wondering, what are some parts you have had really bad luck with so I can avoid stocking them? So far at my current store we've had really bad luck with AGI CD Rom drives and Epox 8k3a+ motherboards. Lately we've also been having a little trouble with AMD oem chips. What else should I look out for?
- Some asus mobos
- Shuttle Mobos
- Lite on cd-roms/cdr-w
- Generic Power Supplys in cases (blow outs, sell good enermax power supplys)
- winmodems (ALL) :D
- Matrox video cards
- western digital hdd
- Creative dvd/cdrw

Lite on cdr-w, I have been recomending these due to the reviews. Most head to head reveiws conclude that the Lite on is the best value CD-burner. What gives Daemon? I havn't had hands on experience with the Lite on.
As far as processors, we did a cost benefit thingie comparing retail and oem chips, and found out that we could easily cover the cost difference of the retail processors with the expanded warranty..and I agree with the enermax power supply ..great and no problems (I especially like the dual fan model with the speed control for the second fan)
