Besides Microsoft's No Support For Joo! and very little if any documentation with OEM copies, are there any differences with the OEM and retail versions? I want to purchase XP and just want to make sure I dont do a boo-boo.

Only dif is OEM you must purchase hardware along with it (even if its a simm etc)
As for the OS....no difference
I've noticed no difference at all between the two. I've run retail (which came with my MSDN) and I've run the OEM version on my gfs machine. I can't see any difference between the two.
I thought retail earned you the right to bug m$ about stuff?
