Ok, my fiance and I (mostly me) got into a mini-fight last nite. I feel really bad and am regretting the things I said. Right now I am at work, but I want to come home and bring her a surprise. Something inexpensive (since I am low on funds), but something any woman would like. Thanks for the ideas and help. :)
Flowers delivered (not by you!) are a lovely surprise and the card can carry your apology...
Flowers bought on the way home don't quite have the same ring to it...
If she is not the flower type, then just a card would be good.
Too funny, just the other night my gf was telling me how she thought that actually going out, taking the time to pick up the flower arrangement yourself and then taking it to her was so much more romantic and thoughtful than just picking up the phone or going to a website...:rolleyes:Quote:

I have to agree Cleetus...it takes more time and effort on your part....;)
BUT...it depends on HOW mad she really was as to if she would welcome seeing him at this point! :confused:
Maybe show her this thread as well....she will know you DO feel really bad if you are admitting it publically! :D :) (just a thought...)...but flowers are ALWAYS good....
I've always found that calling the flower shop and having them deliver flowers to her at home while you are away works pretty good.
At least with my woman it does.(or did :( ).
Flowers typically work, as NooNoo pointed out - as long as they don't look (or smell) 3 days old!
If you get her a card - make sure you just don't pick one with a nice pix and sign your name - a blank card with some *handwritten words of apology* and showing her how you feel will mean so much more and be sincere. Sometimes card shops have little cupon books the recipient can redeem for gifts or services 'to be named later'. (or you can mke these on index cards and a colored printer) which can be a nice addition.
Depending on the severity of the fight (and how bad you feel) making her dinner or taking her out is a nice gesture - but make it HER favorite place. Uncork a bottle of her favorite wine and give her a foot massage.
Basically any grovel, tail-btwn-your-legs, sincere apology should work. The KEY is to do it right away - the longer arguments have a chance to fester, the worse they become.

Things that have "worked" for me:
Mailing several love letters/cards through the post to the house. 3 or 4 at a time, totalling up to 20-something cards.
Get home early, leave post-it notes EVERYWHERE with little cute messages on them. (On the toilet cover, medicine cabinet, chairs, tables, in the fridge, floor, wall, ceiling, tv screen, keyboard, mouse, under the pillow, on the pillow...)
I like to give flowering potted plants. They last longer (sometimes) than cut flowers.
GOOD ideas Drew! My b/f and I were just talking the other day about doing "spontanius" little things like that for one another. He's got good intentions, he's just not real creative in that department! Maybe I should have him PM you! :D

Why is it the man that is always to blame? Why is it the man that always has to buy the flowers, leave the notes, do the majority of the spontainous things? Why is it the woman gets away with maybe even starting the junk, blaming the man, and getting what she wants out of it? Why is it that if the woman takes blame, all she has to do is lay on her back or dirty her knees a little? Why is it for Valentine's day all we see is girl stuff? Why is it that men should always compromise?
And why is it I am growing hair on my palms and losing my eyesight?:confused: :sad: :eek2:
