I need a best bang for the buck video card that will work with Win XP. Im useing a Radeon 7000VE DDR right now and unfortunately ATI doesnt have any support for that card in XP yet (if they are gonna have it all). Do you guys know of a good dual monitor card that you know XP will support?

Are you sure about the 7000 not being supported under WinXP?
I recently got one through Save the Geeks and have installed it with the default drivers. Dual monitor capability was available from the get-go.
My personal problems with it involve the more recent Catalyst drivers, but I've received some tips from Noonoo (ATI Queen :cool: ) that I've yet to try.
The Ti series of the GF 4's have a DVI + VGA connection, you can get an adapter to turn the DVI into VGA for a little bit of nothing
Well, I got it to work and XP does identify it, but I cannot get the card to switch to spread format, where the screen is across both monitors. All I get is duplicate screens. When I set the spread format it just kicks back to dual mode. I also cant set the resolution independently for the monitors seperately.Quote:

Adept, I had the same problems with those ATI catalyst drivers. If you get an answer on that then let me know on this thread if you could. I will be out of town for a while and probably wont be able to respond so thanx in advance.

I'd have to recommend the Matrox Dualhead series of cards if dual montiors is your primary concern. www.matrox.com
Matrox cards are great if you don't need 3d and you don't play the latest games like UT2003.
