Bios strings - could be faked...
North & Southbridge chips -usually tells you, though get that tipex.....
Utility to identify- reads bios info though...
I suppose if you really tried you could re-brand and hide it but that sounds more trouble than its worth, you could fix 'em to be kt333 but then why not sell them as that ?
yeah I just heard a rumor on another forum that this was going on and that kt400's were not as good as 333's but I dont think this is true. I shouldnt listen to wild rumours :(
