I'd buy a CO detector in a second.
These are required by law in Toronto, but it's not really a law that can be enforced.

Around here the city comes to inspect places every so often to ensure that there are no huge health code violations etc,
I believe the only times those types of laws are enfourced is when a house is built, before occupancy. Still, if its there in the first place, people may decide its worth keeping a fresh battery in.Quote:

Yes,very lucky couple to be alive.
Its about time manufacturers intigrated it along with a fire detector in one unit.
In terms of enforcement, it is also a way you can get back at a bad landlord, report him for not having them.
