What you mean saying "no boot" - no power ON at all (no fans spinning) or simply no any beep sounds? Is the PSU itself starting? Did you try to start the PSU itself without motherboard (by shorting "power ON" signal wire to the "ground")?

no power -- if it gave me some life, I'd be happy :D
the power supplies are good, we used my new motherboard that I got yesterday as a test. Worked just fine.

Most likely it is just only one or two of powerful transistors went south and shorting power... Check them all...
Just few days ago was having similar problems at work with 2 ASUS motherboards... ask someone who has enough skills to do it for you...
In worst case it could be damaged voltage regulator, but usually it be caused by bad PSU... :rolleyes:

do you think my electronic engineering degree is enough? :D I'll look the parts up and check out their numbers ...see if I can't get some kinda data sheet on it so I can test the lil @#$%ers. Be nice if that's all she was...
