Anyone remember the good ole days on here?
when Darren Wilson was the first to reach something like 3000 posts, and nobody got involved in flame wars?
When your posts got replies to them about once an hour, not once a week?
A lot has changed, mainly since they started charging for the service, and i think its sad.
Still, I do find these forums both informative and entertaining, but jus not as much as i used to :)

i miss Spaceman Spiff, El Batcho and Bracius. those guys made me laugh
They've all moved on to greener pastures (Spiff to Sowulo's, and the other two to Cobra's).
What’s missing is the constant flow of great questions in the support forums. Some of them used to really make you think, and instilled allot of great dialog to determine a solution. Now, there is maybe a handful a week that really triggers the brain; everything else is trivial, or a resolution is never met because the originator never responds back.
I believe that this is primarily because the site isn’t free any more. Hell, I used the driver support for months, maybe even more than a year before I even ventured into the forums. I don’t think I even realized there was one for most of that time. Had it been a pay site then, I would have moved on the first day. Oh well, I wonder if the site is making money…
I don’t really miss anyone, but that is just because I don’t get attached to online personalities. It isn’t a place for me to make friends. I just like to exchange technical ideas, and theory. It is also a great way to test your knowledge and troubleshooting skills, provided there is a challenge and adequate dialog…
As it stands I spend most of my time in Techville now. That sucks.

Shortly after the change to pay for content, didn't somebody on here have a sig something to the effect of 'If I wanted to pay for drivers, I'd call a cab'?
Anyway, I did use the drivers search for ages before I noticed the forums.
