he's not hurt, just hiding in a bunker somewhere. they'll get him sooner or later
i dont' know...
there was a report out earlier in the year that saddam, had like 4-5 doubles, theat he would use to put in harms way when he thought his life was in danger.
The video that aired last night was not live(splice was visible), it was most likely saddam, as normally he does not wear glasses, and the speach he was given was had-written. aparently most of his speaches are typed...this is just what i have heard on foxnews
Wouldn't that make you think it wasN'T him?Quote:

it was'nt him..
a side note
the republic "elite" fighters of iraq's higher ups are wanting to surrender already..
personally i belive he's 200+ feet below ground, surrounded by women and children to show how evil the west is.
:edit:
Foxnews has a video camera on a carrier in the gulf area (won't say where) but you can see f/a-18's take off, it's cool to watch the afterburner glow in the background...
The reason that I heard for the strike last night, was that Deputy Prime Minister Tariq Aziz made an adress to the public stating that he had not defected and was indeed still working hard with the Iraqi government. Reports say that US intelligence tracked Aziz back to an underground bunker where he was to meet with high ranking officials of the state, possibly including Sadaam, Udei, and whatever his other son's name is. The strike was then made as an attack of opportunity in attempt to take out one, if not many of the high ranking officials of Iraq.
Of course I heard that on Limbaugh so take it for what its worth. :)
rush is never wrong.......
that's what fox news was saying as well..
Could you please place a :D by the Rush statement!!!!!!!Quote:

no i cannot do that....it's the truth
I was watching the developments (or absence of such) from 9:30 'til 12:30 last night.
It's such a strange feeling to know that a war is going on abroad and you can actually watch it "live" from Baghdad and the coalition's ships.
The most embarassing moment for me was when a newsclip of Chirac was shown where he stated once again that France was against the conducting of this war and saw it as violating international laws. This guy needs to get a reality pill - fast.
As if Hussein and Bin Laden's cronies would seek the approval of the UN before attacking anyone, anywhere, at anytime and using any type of weaponry...
so if saddam is not dead then he's pissed off great....
One U.S. official said: "If Saddam did not die last night, it's got to leave him wondering about the loyalty of some of those around him that we hit the target we did."
taken from here
What I don't get, if he is dead, the Iraqi’s should be doing the "Wicked witch is dead" song and dance on his dead remains, and inviting the US military to come in and have dinner. Why perpetuate a war over this dead dictator?
This leads me to believe that he is still alive, and in some control. If it was a double in the press release, it was by his own hand and directive that the farce be played out...
I was wondering whether you are aware of the facts about that war. Do you believe this war is about Saddam and his government or about the arabian oil? Do you agree with your president's will or are you against it?
Have you seen tonight's bombing on TV? Have you heard the reporters screaming in the hotel near Saddam's second palace while being hit? Have you ever felt bad about a war in another country? Has anyone of you ever thought of the concequencies of each war?
You say you believe in God. Who has greater power than Him? Who should decide who lives and who dies?
Have you seen the reactions of pther countries' people?
And finally do you agree with this war? Do you agree with every war??
Who's next???
I'm outta here!!
