Reomte Desktop Connection

im sure its pretty straight forward, like in xp, but ive never done it in me,

How do i connect to the work terminal server in me.
i know th IP address etc and have done it a million times in XP, but i have to use my dads machine for late night support, and he is on ME, and i have not setup one before with ME

Having no idea either what I would suggest is that you use TightVNC to login. It's a straightforward installation and if he is the only computer on the network all's you have to do is open port 5900 on the router (if one is implemented if not it's even easier). All's you will need is the password. Very very simple. Cheers.

I understand but it sounded like you just wanted to connect to the computer to show him how to do something. Maybe I misunderstood. My bad.

I found that too but I thought that was only for connecting to windows xp pro systems that had remote desktop enabled on them. Who knows it might work.

Just search for mstsc.exe and copy it to the ME Machine, should work with 95,98,ME & 2000 havent tried it on NT but i bet it works there too.

I know this has been answered, but if you have a XP CD on hand, you can install the RD/TS connection client:

On the computer running Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT 4.0 or Windows 2000, insert the Windows XP Professional compact disc into your CD-ROM drive.
When the Welcome page appears, click Perform additional tasks, and then click Set up Remote Desktop Connection.
Follow the directions that appear on your screen.
