Does anyone around have experience with this paging terminal? The problem lies in the setup. I am trying to hyperterminal into the paging terminal to get to the setup but no port configuration seems to work....Including the ones the company has on their documentation :mad:
If anyone has any input on the port config it will be greatly appreciated. I have tried multiple configs on the port allready and I am down to shots in the dark now. :rolleyes:
Just in case anyone has the same problem in the future I thought I would post the answer here.
The Multitone documentation is incorrect. While the port settings were correct, there is a ribbon cable (PL1) that the instructions tell you to completely remove in order for setup to take place. In reality, this prevents you from being able to communicate with the transmitter. Once I put the connection back I was able to configure the unit.
Lesson for the day....Make sure that your documentation is allways up to date. :)
