US and Canada only :(
Interesting. I checked them out a bit and found an article on Microsofts site about the company. They're not bogus. I'm going to give it a try.
Thanks Man!
Haven't found any loopholes yet.
Looks good. https://forums.windrivers.com/
That was a looong contract wasn't it? I'm hoping there's an option to cap bandwidth. I didn't see that yet but it's probably there.Quote:

Darn NooNoo sorry that you can't get it in the UK. :(
I signed up too. There's an alert function to let you know if you're going over a preset spending limit but it doesn't automatically shut anything down. Theoretically a bunch of people could download say, a large avi and you'd wind up paying $.99 per gig of bandwidth.
its sweet alright...except i cannot get my domain to accept mail...their stupid mail server denies all traffic (anyone had success with theirs?)...and the have horrible tech support hours (8a-8pEST M-F) I wish we had that techie schedule.... :flame:
It took over a day for mail to start flowing into the domain. It works fine now that it's up though.Quote:

12. DATA TRANSFER VOLUME
12.1. Unless otherwise agreed to in writing, a data-transfer volume of 6 Gigabytes per months is included in the 1&1 Services. The utilized data-transfer volume is calculated on the basis of all data-transfers that take place during any given calendar month (including but not limited to downloads, email, uploads and website visits). For purposes of this Agreement, 1 Gigabyte equals 1000 Megabytes, 1 Megabyte equals 1000 Kilobytes and 1 Kilobyte equals 1000 Bytes.
Wow, got started with this yesterday and just registered 2 domains for $5.99 a year and already got my index.html and pop mail kickin. This is truly an awesome find!
I got my first invoice Monday. $5.99 for registering my domain was it. I've just started doodling around with my web space before I came back up to work, but everything is up and running. As silencio said it took about a day for the mail server to kick in and all is well now. :D
Definetly on the up and up too. I saw an add in eweek advertising this same deal. Cheers.
