My computer has WinXP Home edition on it. For no reason that I know of it all of sudden started giving me NTLDR is Missing. Press CTRL-ALT-DEL to reboot. I went to Microsoft's website and found this http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;320397 I created the boot disk and got windows working again when you boot of the disk. But I don't want to boot of the disk any more. It says in the article to contact microsoft for the patch but when you click on contact microsoft it says contact the vendor of your computer (Compaq). When I called them they said it was out of warrenty and wanted a bunch of money to talk to them to fix it. Cannot afford to do that. Anybody know how to fix this? I was checking these forums and saw some others that had a similar problem that said to use the repair console and use the Fixboot command. I had to do this once before on my machine with XP Pro and it ended up screwing up NTFS Partition so I lost ALL my data. I am very leary of using this command again.
Thanks,
Eric
