Exchange 2000 Outlook Web Access

My sales staff is starting to look at having web access to our Exchange server from outside the office. I started by looking at the setup on the server to see if Web services were enabled, and believe I have a problem.

I downloaded a white-paper from MS to try to guide through the issue, but can't really find anything useful. I cannot access anything on the Exchange server via a webpage except for this one folder: http://server/public. Outlook web access shows up in ths browser and I can see the public directory.

My question is, what do I need to do to see individual user mailboxes? According to the white paper, I should be able to view http://server/exchange but it doesn't seem to exist.

Any help would be appreciated.

How about if you type in http://server/exchange/username? Can you see the user's mailbox?

Your safer setting up a VPN and allowing them to connect to the exchange server as if they were on the local network. Security sucks on OWA. I only mention this so that you might better spend your time on a VPN instead of OWA if you choose...

On ours we have to use https to get anywhere otherwise we get the under construction or could not find page.
