This thing is Cool. It's the same size as a pack of marlboros and holds a gig of mp3s (with a 1 gig memory card). So far the batteries (energizer rechargable HiMH) have lasted about 18 hours and it's still going strong. The only thing I've noticed that I don't like is that you can't play music that's more than 1 directory deep. Overall, it gets the :thumbs2:

My archos died the same way (one channel quit). I wonder if anyone makes one with real RCA jacks. Those 3.5MM connectors suck balls. This thing will be used 99% of the time in the car and maybe in the garage occasionaly. I connect it to the car/truck with monster cables. ..wonder if those connectors are too big or something..
I'm waiting for the next electronic thing to break. These things come in threes right? I got home from Tennessee last night to find that the AC converter/adapter for my laptop had fried something in my M700. This was the first time I had needed to use it. Now the thing won't run off the battery. I made a fuss at Radio Shack a couple hours ago and they agreed to fix it. With any luck it won't come back with more problems. Anybody here work as a bench tech for Radio Shack in Norcross? If so hook me up. Slap a hard drive in there before you send it back (I pulled mine before I took it in of course). :D
That brings up another topic. I use GPS/mapping software, play MP3s, and use the laptop to tune the car. Is there a decent car/laptop setup that runs windows (the tuning software requires windows)? If not, does anyone make a QUALITY DC source that I can wire to a keyed 12 volt source?
Done deal. I've got an iPAQ h5555 sitting in front of me charging now.
It won't run the tuning software but it'll do GPS, play my MP3s, and a bunch of other cool chit. Sweeeet.

THAT, is one thing I screwed up on. The h2215 could use my 1Gig CF type II card and I thought this one could too but it requires an expansion pack so.. I could sell my card and buy an SDIO card or I could buy the expansion pack... Time to check ebay.Quote:
