We have similar issues here with our "boat people"

They sue the government and expect not to be kept in a detention centre and all sorts of ridiculous stuff..I say as soon as they land send them home on a plane..the expense of the ticket is much less than the cost of everything else..For the genuine refugees..well I don't know how to tell if they are....many of ours are common criminals paid by their country to leave as refugees...

What are boat people? Where do they come from? I know, of course, boats.

The reason I posted this is because at the time I was trying to go to college I couldn't afford the tuition, and now Washington state is trying to make it possible for illegal aliens to attend they're in-state colleges for free. Are they crazy?

Send a few home in a bag. Maybe they'll get the hint.

I'm being facitous though. A lot of immagrant workers perform jobs that natural born Americans won't bother rolling out of bed to do. I think it's a mistake and an injustice to provide them with social services unless they have become citizens. You've got to give a guy credit who's willing to leave his country to come here and work. But, you've got to give a guy the boot who's coming here to leech... Offering free services is going to attract leeches.

Australia is a huge island with thousands and thousands of kilometres of uncontrolled and unpatrolled landing spots...Hence the "boat people" refugess that escaped their country by small fishing boats, crammed like sardines with hundreds and hundreds of people onboard.......they were originally from Vietnam and south East Asia but our recent "boat people" have been afghans and Iraqis

Many Many boats didn't make it...they have like traders that take the money around $10000us last I heard, each and they stick them on a teency weency broken down barnacles crusted rust bucket to sail across to us...Many were simply sunk by the traders......some sunk because they just were destined to sink....and some made it to our shores....

..at least all the terrorists don't go there, they all come here :rolleyes:, & we give them legal aid to sue our government too ... the world is MAD !

Right, we have the same problem with Cubans boatin in to Florida. But my question is what country do the majority of the boat people come from? Meaning, where do they set sail from? I never knew that Australia had that problem.

There are airports in Haiti that tell people which cities in the U.S. and Canada offer the best welfare to illegals. I think San Francisco tops most of the lists.

As I've said before, had I been a single mother from a foreign country, I could have received those university loans I could not get as a Canadian father.

No matter how good it is, our beer and maple syrup don't make up for bureaucratic stupidity of that scale.
