Hey folks. I'm in a bind on a network I need to find a packet sniffing program and I would like to find either a freebie or very inexpensive one for a network that has about 35 systems on it. Anyone have any reccomendations? TIA.

Nmap, as featured in Matrix Reloaded.
Here's a few more.
Cain & Abel is a great one, built-in NT hash decoder, router poisoning, etc.... http://www.oxid.it
Sweet! Thanks Adept and CeeBee you guys saved my :butt: .
Ethereal and packetyzer (which is just a custom version of ethereal made for windows)
I don't know if I'd recommend Cain & Abel anymore...Quote:

Which one did you go for, nunob?
Adept I went with NMAP easy to use and fast. I did try Ethereal that Gollo reccomended and I like it too. Thanks again for the help guys.
The "server" component in Abel most likely. NAV Corporate doesn't consider it trojan, unlike BackOriffice 2000.Quote:
