Trying to run an expansion pak to a game I have, and it installs ok, but when I launch the game I get a "Incorrect disc error." EA tech support thinks it's the Windrivers I have. Anyone heard of this?

Is the drive you're running from a CDRW drive? Some copy protection scheme will force failures on some CDRW drives.Quote:

who ever you got at ea games was fobbing you off.
CDrom and DVD devices use the same drivers as the hard drive.
They could have been talking about the ide drivers, but it's unlikely that would have an effect.
If it installed on the friends laptop, was that a cdrw or just a plain cdrom?
