We have a bunch of ancient optical disks (kinda like CD's encased in their own cartridge) that we need to get rid of. The problem is they may contain a bunch of client info, Social Security Numbers, addresses, etc. and with all the identity theft going on I don't want to just toss them in the dumpster.
Any ideas for companies that offer data destruction services or am I better off with a "Sledge-O-Matic" of my own?

Commercial tree, shrub shedders work wonders if you have enough to cover the rental...

cool. I've been looking for a shredder that can chew up hard drives to sell to the airforce base here. This may just do the trick.
CD's get few nice scratches on the layer side. Hard drives and tapes meet the 25-ton hydraulic press. Too bad I don't have any pic handy...
