Am using Win98SE. Is there a program which would organize the files on my system? I have about 50GB of files on my harddrive. Some of the files are no longer needed or used, some are duplicates, and many are different versions of the same file.

Err but the thread title is a bit mis-leading .. if we are wanting rid of 'duplicate & spurious' - then doing/getting the above on a new install is the way to give a 'clean minimum install'
But for any 'already messed up system' there's no substitute nor more reliable method than explorer & your brain .. or FDisk ! :D
Due to the complexity & potential pitfalls of this I wouldn't trust ANY s/w to do it for me, it requires 'intelligent decisions', which s/w ain't so smart with .. back up what you do want & restore it to a clean install ..;)
You must try Dupe Checker Pro.
It's the best duplicate files finder and disk cleaner. From the analog applications I tried, Dupe Checker showed to me the most wanted result and stability work.
