I was gonna go to this cookout at my brother's but his cookouts suck and his wife doesn't like me, so instead I'm going to see the Day After Tomorrow with...one of those people...that has boobs...and long hair...and usually smell nice. I forget what they're called, but yeah, one of those people.

I'm going to see Shrek 2 with my son, sister in law and my neice. Then my husband and I are going to buy a new bike and helmet for my son, because on Saturday he had his first major crash on his bike. Thank goodness he was wearing a helmet because he would have died or had a severe head injury. His chain broke and he lost control of his bike and smashed right in the garage.
Oooohh,.. that brings back haunting memories. See I never wore a helmet. And I lived and breathed to roller skate and ride my bike when I was a little kid in the 70's and 80's. And just run around like a crazy kid wearing a sheet that I thought was my Batman cape. Anyway, I hit my head many-a-time. As far as I can remember, not as many kids wore helmets and parents didn't have as much awareness about helmets back then.
As far as what I am doing today,.. drink beer, hang out with friends (if I ever finish my laundry that is).

The not so great stuff: Friday after work my friend bought like 80 16x16x4 concrete pave stones to do his driveway with, and I helped unloaded them (slightly under 90 lbs each) then Saturday we started tearing up the yard. That was freaking tough.
The GREAT stuff: Saturday evening after the GF got off work, we went up to a little town to stay untill this morning. We spent Sunday in a state park up there climbing and hiking.
Extra great: Sunday was our 1 year anniversary!
...but after all the work and sweat and sunburn this weekend, going to work tomorrow will be like a vacation!

I worked 12.5 hours on both saturday and sunday at a food festival to get service hours for a scholarship. Then after I got home a girl I like (who is unfortunately dating a friend of mine...long story) came into my room really really drunk with a friend of hers (also female) at which point they kissed each other and fondled themselves then ran out of my room. So Ive spent my entire Monday trying to figure out just why in the hell I'm so pissed off about that. I'm really...really...confused...
