What video card do you have?
gforce 440 i have downloaded the the driver but it tells me the driver cant install due to the detected device has no pci id in nvagp.infQuote:

I'm guessing that means that the driver you downloaded does not have a pci id which matches the one for your video card. Where did you download the driver from? Try downloading the nvidia driver here.
