What do you hate the most about being on hold? What bugs you the most?
what i hate is drastic volume changes. for instance, when on hold with Dell, their horrible background music is fairly quiet, so i turn the volume up on my phone so i can hear when someone comes on..then suddently that goofy woman pops on advertising one of dells amazing services, or telling you how to visit their website..and she is so loud it hurts your ears. then it goes back to quet music. then when you get a tech, they are often quiet and hard to understand.
Usually the $hitty music and then the crink in my neck from holding the phone on my shoulder while I do other things.
Dunno about hating it, but I love the moment when they come back and ask me something. I just say "Hang on a second, I'll just go check", stick the phone on hold and go get some coffee
I hate when they don't put you on hold and you have to listen to them breathing
When you are on hold it means you are nothing but an annoyance to them, so much so that they can't be bothered to hire enough operators or techies or whatever to look after your call.
NTL made me so mad by holding all the time that I'm not with them anymore.
When it appears that it's just one giant loop. Or, you get someone and they say they will direct your call but then you hear a "click" and the dial tone. I go on the war path when that happens.
Hmmm...Amy TwoEyes go on warpath! https://forums.windrivers.com/images.../2005/03/1.gifQuote:

Anyway,.. I hate being on hold because a> it takes away from my bucket of cell phone minutes and 2> drains my battery and c> makes my ear all sweaty from holding the phone up for so long.
Aye, speakerphone is the only way to call but that volume thing sucks.Quote:

I have enough trouble talking to the gardener. I don't want to meet any more people I can't understand. :DQuote:

Those #%$!^*& lines that put you on hold, play music while you wait, then every two minutes interrupt to say, "All our operators are still busy. Please stay on the line and your call will be answered in the order it was received. Your call is very important to us."Quote:
