startup probs?

sumthin real strange happened to my comp. one day it worked perfectly fine, i switched it off, wen i tried to switch it back on the next day, the cdrom drives led's jst keep flashing, nd the busy led on the case keeps flashing too? the monitor doesn't switch on or nethin, as soon as i switch the pc on thats wat it does, theres also sum strange noise cumin from inside the case, i think it's the hdd, dont kno if it has nethin to do with the problem? i tried unpluggin all the drives one by one, nd the problem persists, ne help on this matter would be greatly appreciated, thanks

When you boot do you get any video at all?
reduce it to 1 stick of emory,video card main harddrive and then try booting .
Also what type of harddrive ? Maybe booting to a disk from the manufacturer for diagnostics would reveal something>

theres no video, no monitor activity, the leds jst flashing as soon as i turn it on, il try booting as you said, one hdd, one stick of ram etc. il post if it makes any difference.
