virtual drives

i updated clonecd and now i have 2 virtual drives in my system,i wouldn`t mind but my store bought doom 3 won`t play because of those virtual drives which help people play copied games at least that is what i think they use it for,i can always get a no cd crack but seeing that i buy me own games i don`t like that too much,now the question,how do i get rid of those 2 virtual drives without uninstalling my programs?just uninstalling the drive in device manager don`t do it they are back on when i reboot, :sad:

I use a different program (Daemon Tools) and it, like others I've seen, have a disable option that turns off the drives. If that doesn't work, you could always just uninstall the program...

Yup remove cloneCD if thats what 'owns' the virtual drives, such programs introduce a driver for a virtual scsi device to impersonate an atapi device, these can cause issues with IDE drivers (which generally run any DVD/CD type device) leading bizarrely to problems with game copy protection mechanisms ;)
