Alaska, here I come...

Tomorrow, I'll be heading up Major Kong and Tekboy's way. My brother just got married, and my parents and I will be heading up around Fairbanks to visit him this weekend. I'll be sure to take some good pics while I'm there. :thumbs:

Only bummer is the wife isn't going to be able to go becuase of her job and night classes. :sad:

If you go to the Chena Pump House to eat, do not drink the water and don't accept ice in your drinks.

In all fairness, the Pump House has good water these days.

It's been about 10 years since I've eaten there, glad to hear they finally quit using that sulfur ridden water.

Well, I made it back in one piece...

Rolled in about 1 am this morning. Thank God I took today off, too. It's going to take a few days to get over the three hour time difference between here and there.

Got some nice pictures from the plane, a few from Denali (where we saw three bears and some sheep), and some from the top of a mountain on Murphy Dome Rd. (saw a couple moose there). I'll post some pics later...

Overall had a really good time, but I'm very happy to be back home... :thumbs:

Nice view from up on Murphy Dome. Nice up on Ester Dome too, the one by the big greenhouse on the way to Murphy Dome. Glad you liked it here. :)

No, we rented a Ford Expedition and drove from Fairbanks to Denali. Pretty much everything was closed around there because the season had just ended.
