I think I figured out why these arguments and debates are endless

It's because we never have a clear cut winner in anything. Topic starts, case is made, arguement is made, argument gets argued and so on and so forth. Back and forth back and forth until each person and the topic is beaten to a bloody pulp. And why? Because the arguments never officially end. Like in football the time runs out. In baseball the last inning gets played. Etc. We need to find a way to officially declare winners of arguments here. Like a scoreboard, or some official referree's or something. :cool:

Using Timed Polls is my suggestion :) & let the will of the people be the 'winner' (folks will have to learn to vote after all the arguements are done though, as you can't add a poll to a thread {unless Aunty Noo you'll volunteer to do this for us ?} after .. I'm thinking close them when they are waffle & add a poll ?)

I think that may be possible, but remember, asking me at 4 in the morning here just cos its only 8pm there will mean you have to wait.

Ahh well I thought we were talking about 'everywhere' - but if we/you just mean Politicos - then you can ask ITLU ? as he's in a different time zone etc ..

& I have a sub-suggestion too ! .. for when Noo is having her completely un-needed beauty sleep ;) .. Just make ITLU mod all over the place (With Noo still 'boss' like it is with Don & DA) & then maybe I/others can actually find a mod when we need one, to close things temporarily if they get heated) - in all this months 'great debacle' - lack of 24/7 modding has been the real reason behind all of this ..

(I quite agree with Noo's notion that she can't be here 24/7 & that we shouldn't need to be treated like children, however sometimes things just end up OTT & that's how it is & likely always to be like that here as long as we continue with the 'wind-up' mentality which can most definately go far too far, as we've seen !{gradual escalation, things mis-interpretted etc} )

Scott is up when I am not, so hitting the report post often gets action from the boss long before I wake up. :D

Fair play ;) - I'll make more use of report post then & not send you mails with all the why's & wherefores - Scott just generally shuts them straight off as you say, but .. (how can I put this without pissing him off ? ..mmm ..) - perhaps if he put comment on them, even if its just 'Shut -until you can convince Noo otherwise ..' on them ? (Scott not being bothered by all the 'picky bits' ;) & just cutting to the chase usually) ... look what happened in Orange's case.

Edit: I've had 4 goes at rewording that now .. I hope finally this reads ok now, as I ain't re-wording it again !
