usb mass storage device problems

Ok, i have a digi cam and a mp3 player and i have all up to date drivers for my hardware but when i try and turn on my portable device it doesnt auto detect it it just gives me a windows message "new hardware found, usb mass storage device not found or whatever and the hardware wizard pops up and it always fails to update. i installed all the drivers for my devices and when i had sp1 everything worked fine. anyone help

its a fujifilm a210 and a rca lyra mp3 player.

Really...if it worked before with SP1 and you had no probs...

Perhaps, if you update the chipset drivers? This board has a via chipset? www.viaarena.com

well i dont really wanna ditch sp2 just cause its way better than sp1 and i know there has got to be a solution to this problem so if anyone has any idea how to please post it. my mobo/chipset drivers are up to dare.
