Christmas Decorating....

Well I have to share this as it just cracks me up... I got a new toy this weekend.... ( http://consumer.usa.canon.com/ir/con...9&modelid=9430 ) and have been playing around with it.....and this is one thing I decided to try...nite shots....

There are some houses around town here that just go a bit overboard on their Christmas decorations....this one is pretty much there...the house itself I think is ok, but add in all the crap in the yard is a bit much...There is one across town thats way over the top...I'll have to cruise over there and get a pic of it....its way worse than this one!!!

wow they still make this camera, I had one of the first rebel X eos ones it was a good camera for the price

That's nothing compared to the takeout by my house. Damn place is lit up like the frickin sun. But the fried haddock is good and it's fun to look at all the lights while your order is being made.

I put my tree up yesterday on my birthday. And I have all these pieces left over.

So, how do you like the Digital Rebel? I bought my wife the Rebel 2000 a few years ago, now she's thinking about the digital one. I think the lenses are interchangeable, which would be nice. Just wondering what you think of it.

Like the Rebel alot...I haven't done a ton with it yet, but what I've done so far I love!! My son took a pic of his dog and I printed it on the new printer I got ( http://consumer.usa.canon.com/ir/con...&modelid=10239 ) in an 8x10 and it looks as if you can touch her as soft as she looks...incredible...that was on matte paper...

So far I love it..and you can snap pictures one right after the other, not a big delay like with normal digital cameras.

Yes, the lenses should be interchangable!

it just doesn't seem like christmas without snow. Crazy lights tho. Maybe this year they switched over to led lights to save on the bills

That's nothing. There's this guy who lives near me that leaves his stuff up all the time. If not, it would take all year to take down and put up. The house and yard are COVERED with decorations. If I get a pic, will someone host it for me?

HAH, the other one I am talking about is like that too...I guess he starts putting his stuff up in October to get it all done in time, the news did a story on it a couple of years ago. I may run by there tomorrow nite and get a picture! Sounds like the one Fatal is talking about!

We took the kids out in the car yesterday evening to look at the best ones around here, they love them. They don't compare to the first one in this thread but I thought I'd post the pictures as there are mad people over here too :p

Nope, but since this I've heard of a couple more insane places, one I will be going by tonite!! More pics! Haha, this is FUN!

Oh yeah, we have one guy here who COVERED his roof with lights last year. Someone further up the street did a grid of light over his whole yard. What was funny was one street I drove up yesterday, nobody had decorations up....except two houses next to each other that went all out.





My cam is in my car, which is in the shop. I hope I'll be able to bail it out today, otherwise next couple of days
