Access filter criteria

I have a table in an access database that contains records for members. Each member has several records for each payment they have made over the years.

I would like to create a filter that shows only the record of the most recent payment date for each member.

Pretty new to Access so am a bit lost.

Go on then .. answer it anyway for those who might pass by later looking for an answer & might not have your insight ! :thumbs:

Methinks depending on table structure etc, this could be dead simple or 'hard', but either way you are just looking for the 'greatest date' value in some table or other & then comparing that with another value, you can use the operators '>','<' & '=' in any old combo (so '>=' etc) with M$ access as if they were just numbers (which I suspect may be enough of an answer all its own for most folks who may view this later ;)) ..
