a day at the beach

I dunno if I believe that story. I can't believe people are out there on that beach tanning and whatnot. I think it's a bogus story.
here is a pic...
sunbathing in hell
Well those people suck then. I can't believe people are so cold hearted in this world. One of the biggest natural disasters of our lifetime and these people are working on their tans at the exact location. No respect.
also check the before and after pic at Drudge
Linkin Park has helped start a foundation to help raise money for this catastrophe. http://www.musicforrelief.org/
DUH! That's what they've been saying, there very well may be another one.Quote:
The only risk we face I think is if there's another quake.
I'm in a bit of a bad mood at the moment so excuse the following remarks.
I hope the people who are currently showing no respect for the hundred thousand dead get hit by a similar fate when the follow-up quakes happen, (possibly). They should be helping the relief operation if they're out there now, not ****ing sunbathing. Scum of the earth.
Apologies for the outburst.
no apology needed...i think those are heartless bastards. either try to do SOMETHING...any little thing to help...find some fresh water and carry it to survivors...help unload relief supplies...anything...or go the hell home.Quote:

Is it just me, or was there nothing on the Drudge that proved there were people subathing on the beach? Yeah, they showed a pic of some sunbathers on some beach somewhere that was taken somewhen.....
Checked it out in other places. Yep, that's what's going on.....doesn't surprise me, though.
If there are sunbathers and tourists, then they are doing exactly what those countries want - spending money in the local economy. I have listened to several reports of finance ministers and local business men saying the quickest way to get the locals back on their feet is to get the place cleaned up and open for business as soon as possible.
Yes its heartbreaking looking at those pictures, and this time next year it will be a memory and new years on some sunny beach will be the place to be.
The UK private citizens have raised 45 MILLION POUNDS - thats over 70 million dollars. The prime focus of this money is to get the countries back up on their feet and trading again.
it's all about the "me" nowadays...and don't try to make people see that, they'll just use the old " to each his own" to excuse their actions... i think this example is pretty much as selfish as you can get right now :(
It's all about the money.
Seems like tourists want to come down to see the damage.
