Install SNMP on Windows 2000
I need to roll out SNMP on a couple hundred Windows 2000 computers, and for the obvious reason don't want to go to each one, open the Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs ... etc ...
I've Googled the subject but can't seem to find a definitive answer, so does anyone know how to add SNMP service to Windows 2000 by using a logon or batch file?
TIA! :thumbs2:
why dont you use Group Policy
If you have a domain, the most easy way is to create a new group policy to configure the agent.
You find it in a GPO, under 'Computer configuration'\'Administrative Templates\Network\SNMP
Its the easy way, one action and all the computers get configured. Just one problem: it doesn't work well with HP Insight Agents.
