CD Writer and CD ROM Trouble

I have bought new CD Writer and Installed it, it is working perfectly but the CD ROM Drive Letter is disappeared. I tried everything but not worked, I tried to make the CD Writer as Master, Slave, Cable Select, I tried the same for the CD ROM and for my Hard Drive, I connected the Writer with the Hard Drive, Separate with CD ROM but it the drive letter for the CD ROM not showing. If I make the CD Writer as Master and CD ROM as Slave it shows only the CD Writer and it the CD ROM Master and Writer Slave shows the CD ROM Letter only, But it is available in the Device Manager both the CD ROM and CD Writer, but in My Computer and Explorer it is showing only the Writer and CD ROM Letter is missing. First of all did you check the jumper positions on the drives?
Have you tried them just one at a time?
Is there any ! in device manager against any device?
What windows is this?
What burning software have you installed? Have you tried any others?
Have you updated the chipset drivers for your motherboard?
