NEC-ND3520A hates InCD4 causes BS of D on Wn2k(SP4)
Hi All,
Subject (long): NEC-ND3520A External DVD Writer hates InCD4 (any version) and causes Blue Screen of Death on Windows 2000 Pro (Service Pack 4)
First, this was working ok when first installing the hardware even created blank disks ok. However, by unplugging the USB connection seems to have started all my problems on reconnecting the wrong drivers seem to be loaded. Alternately it could be something to do with upgrading to the latest version of InCD4.
Never-the-less if I restart Windows with drive switched off - no problems. If I uninstall InCD4 and start Windows with the drive switched on - no problems. Anytime the two combine then BS of D.
The BS of D indicates File System or driver problem - it varies depending on what changes I make in trying to correct this fault.
These changes so far includes rolling back to the InCD4 version, removing and reinstalling the various drivers, and repairing Windows.
From this overview does anyone have any ideas as to what may be the cause/solution???
Regards,
Andy
