GT/Ultra/MX are basically meant to differentiate the power of each card.
eg. nVIDIA MX is less powerful than a nVIDIA GT card. But there are also models in them.
e.g. There are the 6800, 6600, 6200 series (latest ones), the 6800 has GT and Ultra.
Are you considering buying a vga card?
well...yes... https://forums.windrivers.com/images.../2006/04/1.gif
i'd like to concentrate on the 6600..AGP
is there a 256MB version ?
and again what is the difference between 6600 6600GT 6600 ULTRA??
Yes there is a 256MB 6600. They are ratings for the performance specs on them.
The 6600GT is the fastest afaik.
thanks !!..
i don't understand why on nvidia's site this isn't explained...
and why there isn't a detailed comparison between the cards
It might hurt sales is why ;) , if they point out that really most of the cards are just re-hashes of older ones & that half the 'features' mightn't get used or are more appropriate/effective in one o/s than another, or that many of the features aren't really any improvement at all & are just different standard implementations renamed then all those folks that chase the latest & greatest might not be so keen to upgrade - for a two word summary - marketing hype ! ;)Quote:
