How WD arguements saved my job
So, I come here, let off some steam, get it all out of my system, go run through the gammit of emotions and so forth.
Now, I have a real trouble user, Senior VP with a senior lapse in common sense, politness nor any integrity to take responsibility for his actions. Was in a massive fight with him over the whole week on one issue, that I won out on, as he was blatantly breaking company policy and I was offering to bend over backwards to help him, but not to completly suck him off. Then another issue arose and he went to coworker, she told him tough ****, he came to me, I went through the motions and told him he was SOL but being perfectly respectful. He then writes back adding my boss, my boss's boss, and the state director for the company saying that I reprimand him and treat him like a child. I reply back to all of them, without him for any assistance, being calm and not taking this to a more heated way. For the first time in 3 + years, mgmt didn't bitch me out and said I had been beyond respectful and backed me up. We fell in to his demands, but I was actually appreciated.
And that is the boring worthless story on how my saving WD by taking the brunt of the storm and being such an obnoxious pain also saves my job because it is out of my system...
